Wedding Photography for Julie and Tim, West Wittering, September 29th 2012.
I’ve photographed on West Wittering Beach many times but always wanted to photograph a bride and groom there, so to have a wedding at the church right by the beach, followed by a walk on the beach before heading to the reception, was a dream come true for me.
It was a gorgeous day and I wanted to capture the bright sunshine by ‘breaking the rules’ with atmospheric flare to show just how sunny it was – I always do ‘straight’ pictures without flare as well in case the bride and groom prefer it.
I also always explore how a picture will look in black-and-white and if it looks good in monochrome as well as colour I’ll do two versions

Julie designs jewellry, hence the picture of her hair clip taken on the beach – this was a day full of style and elegance and the pictures of the details give a taste of what it was like.
