Lisa and Joe’s Teepee Wedding at West Dean College and Gardens, West Sussex, with Jacaranda Catering.
Wow, what a fantastic day this was at West Dean College and Gardens – my very first wedding there. It’s wonderful to see these pictures again, a great reminder of the glories of a wedding in the West Sussex Downs. I love the evening light here, the warm glow of the fading sun keeping guests outside until the last possible minute.
St. Andrew’s church in West Dean is right by the College and house, just a short walk for guests and the bride – it became a great background for pictures of Lisa and her Dad as they walked to church.
What I do hope you get from these pictures is just how much fun this day was
The teepee beneath the clear blue skies with a backdrop of the Sussex Downs is hard to beat – and again just a short walk from the church. We had time for a few pictures in the gardens – there are loads of fabulous opportunities here – but I kept to Lisa and Joe’s brief of natural photography at all times.
What I do hope you get from these pictures is just how much fun this day was – the emphasis was most definitely on enjoyment rather than formality. Lisa even joined in serving the barbecue as something she had always wanted to do.
The twilight pictures are some of my favourites, blending with the lights in the background – they really convey the atmosphere of what it was like to be there. So a very big thank you to Lisa and Joe for such a memorable day – and for letting me put the pictures on the blog.
A very big thank you too to Minty and the Jacaranda Catering team for some fabulous food always – this was a wonderful day.
