Daniela and Sebastian were blessed with blue skies for their wedding at Amberley Castle on September 1st this year and as I sit writing this on one of the shortest days of the year looking back on these pictures I’m struck by just how different wedding photography can be at different times of the year.
Daniela and Sebastian naturally wanted to make the most of the fabulous backdrop of the Castle with the blue sky above it – it is a spectacular venue has a jaw dropping effect on those who visit for the first time – but it’s interesting too to see the gentle light inside.

There’s no flash at all in these pictures and the soft light in the getting ready pictures is particularly beautiful. Similarly the shots of Daniela and Sebastian at the wedding breakfast have a gorgeous feel to them.
Here’s another interesting perspective – in the days of film my lab used to tell me off for handing over 150- 200 pictures per wedding. I was with Daniela and Sebastian from getting ready to the start of the wedding breakfast – and I handed over 541 pictures !
