17/02/15Rumbolds Farm Wedding Photos – Beth & Rich

Beth and Rich at St.John’s, Kirdford, and Rumbolds Farm, near Petworth, Sussex, in July
It’s wonderful to see these pictures again, they bring back such happy memories of a fabulous day.
I started at the Cottage at Rumbolds Farm where Beth was getting ready – which has glorious light -and then went on to St. John’s in Kirdford, helpfully situated right opposite the pub, to capture Rich and his team making last minute preparations for the day ahead.
The church service was beautiful and there was enough light to capture the ceremony without intruding in any way – as most vicars like. The light sensitivity of digital cameras has made it very unusual to need flash in church and now the advent of very quiet and even silent shutters mean that, in that very overused word, photographers can be truly unobtrusive in church services.
I love the timeless black-and-white pictures in the churchyard here, they really could be from any era …
I love the timeless black-and-white pictures in the churchyard here, they really could be from any era – a quality that many brides appreciate. You may be asking why I included the camping pictures – the answer is to show that friends and family can camp at Rumbolds Farm before and after the wedding, something that appeals to many.
The axe wielding best man is a very happy memory, but above all seeing these again I’m struck by how happy Beth and Rich look in every picture of them together – I really enjoyed being your photographer and wish you every happiness in the future.
