“We are so grateful for your wonderful knowledge of Ramster”
Sometimes it really does rain on your wedding day – but it doesn’t have to be the end of the world, as these pictures show. What is essential is to have a venue where there are plenty of different backgrounds and spaces in the the dry to give variety to your photographs – and Ramster has them in spades.
We are also so grateful for your wonderful knowledge of Ramster and where to get the best photos in all lighting and weather conditions
Rebecca and Rich’s day started with torrential rain, so Rebecca made the strategic decision to change into her dress at Ramster, while some family members told me of her concern about what effect the weather might have on the pictures. I’ll let Rebecca tell the next part of the story in her own words:
“You put us both at ease from the moment we both arrived and your relaxed nature with us and everyone else made such a difference to our day.
We are also so grateful for your wonderful knowledge of Ramster and where to get the best photos in all lighting and weather conditions – it was something that was playing on my mind in the lead up to the day but I knew straight away from your instructions you had plans in mind. And we managed to get some outside shots!!
Our guests were also so complimentary of you and the wedding party in particular were raving about how funny and entertaining you were when trying to get us in pose!.”
I’ve chosen this selection of pictures to show the variety of atmospheric lighting Ramster has to offer even on a dark day. Even on wet days you can usually grab something outside – Rebecca’s Mum had brought a plastic undersheet to protect the dress (being wrangled in one of the pictures), very much a top tip if you are worried about your dress outside on a wet day. It’s unnoticeable in the shots but it enabled Rebecca and Rich to have both the pictures in the courtyard they wanted and under the fabulous floral arch by Spriggs of Petworth.
Finally I want to mention the dancing pictures, loved by many who were there. Their success is in part due to the lighting by DJ Mark from thedj.co.uk. At every wedding we do together we discuss the lighting before the first dance and I’ll be doing a post very soon about lighting on the dance floor – one to watch out for.
