20/10/16Ramster Summer Wedding Photography – Lucy & Ed

Lucy and Ed at Ramster in August
Perhaps this blog should have the subtitle ‘Ramster, the venue the weather can’t spoil’. In the days building up to the wedding the forecast wasn’t great and on the day itself the skies threatened – and delivered. But despite that Lucy and Ed ended up with a fabulously happy set of pictures that do justice to a wonderfully happy day.
The day started with getting ready at the Crown in Chiddingfold, a great combination with weddings at Ramster and a wonderful backdrop for pictures of Lucy, her Mum and her bridesmaids. For keen followers of Ramster weddings you’ll see Lucy and Ed used the Great Drawing Room the opposite way round from the usual arrangement, so I’ve included some shots from the stairs to show a sense of perspective and how the room looks when full of guests.
Ramster …the venue the weather can’t spoil
At times it has to be said the rain was quite heavy, but the atmosphere in the Brick Hall is a gift with its natural light and Lucy and Ed were brave enough to make the most of a brief interlude in the rain to go for a short walk up the drive, resulting in some memorable images in the twilight.
Lucy and Ed’s dance routine was brilliant – and again a wonderful photo opportunity, helped by Ramster’s resident DJ Mark from thedj.co.uk who always checks the lighting with me before the first dance. I’ve also included some pictures of the gorgeous flowers by Cherfold Cottage Flowers – it’s interesting to see just how many pictures the flowers feature in – and thank you too to Phern and the team from Jacaranda for the fabulous food as always.
