Amazing flowers at Ramster in May for Amanda and Sam
May is a great month for a wedding – the days are fantastically long, not far off the longest day in mid June, and flowers and gardens are at their peak. It’s no accident the the RHS has its biggest show at Chelsea in May!
Ramster is never better, its star rhododendrons making a fabulous photogenic background for any wedding. I love the shots of Amanda and her bridesmaids arriving in the VW Campers surrounded by the amazing colours of the trees (VWs from www.rustyandroses.com). If ever a picture said Ramster in May it would be one of these.
The flowers in the garden meant we were spoilt for choice when Amanda and Sam took a few minutes away from their guests to see the full glory of Ramster’s floral display in May. There’s a great picture wherever you look.
Whilst you’re on the blog do check out the post on “how to choose your wedding photographer” where I talk a lot about styles of photography. The wedding has a blend of many – some reportage, some semi-formal, some details and some set piece pictures – and reinforces what I always say, its your day and you should have it your way. Every wedding I photograph is different and that blend is unique for every client.
You’re so much more than a photographer. Thank you again for your professionalism and calming presence.
The flower theme was continued in the beautiful floristry of Michelle Rust, with peonies, roses and hydrangeas in delicate pinks and whites – regular followers will know I always love photographing flowers!
There was another first here – since I started photographing at Ramster in 1996 I have never seen a sparkling lit dance floor like this, so I have included a range of pictures to show the effect.
Finally and most importantly here are some kind words from Amanda and Sam:
“You’re so much more than a photographer. Thank you again for your professionalism and calming presence. You were absolutely fantastic, in every respect. It was great to have you there. We’re really glad we went with you.”
Thank you both for your amazing feedback and for a fantastic and truly memorable day!
