23/10/18Ramster July Wedding

Kat and Tom at Ramster in July
When I first met Kat earlier this year at the Ramster Open Day her first comment was “I don’t think I want a wedding photographer” to which I replied “You sound like my ideal client”.
It turned out that Kat wanted someone very inconspicuous to capture lots of magical moments in the day without intruding or trying to organise what happened. Above all she wanted natural pictures full of happy moments – and that’s exactly what she got! And looking back at the pictures now I’m struck by just how many great moments there are here.
A quick word on signing the Register: most Registrars only allow you to photograph once all the official business is over, meaning that any signing picture is ‘set up’ – but the art of the wedding photographer is to create natural events within that framework. It does very with location – in London you can photograph whatever you like throughout the Ceremony, whilst in Surrey and Sussex the ‘no photographs during the signing’ rule is pretty much universal.
Ramster looked wonderful as always in the July sunshine
I think the theme of this day was you can have exactly what you want – and not just from you photographer. The reception was in two parts, one before the ceremony where Kat looked fabulous in a red dress and the other after the ceremony where Kat was able to show off her gorgeous ‘official’ white wedding dress.
Ramster looked wonderful as always in the July sunshine, with flowers by Michelle Rust, michellerust.co.uk and I was only sad not to get to taste the cake from Mel at The Cake Revolution.
Thank you to Kat and Tom for a brilliant fun day full of amazing moments and for letting me work my magic!
