18/08/14Ramster July Wedding Photography – Allison & Joshua

Allison and Joshua, Ramster 12th July 2014
This was a day that had everything, including a first for me – ribbon sticks inspired by the wedding in Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility, instead of confetti or bubbles.
I hope the selection here gives a flavour of a day that had so many elements – bouquet throwing, garter flicking and the ceremonial removal of the ladies’ hats amongst others.
Allison wanted a Jane Austen feel to the day and walked down the drive from The Stables to The Long Hall at Ramster. The Gardens at Ramster have featured many times in this blog, but usually it’s the rhododendrons that flower in late May that steal the show and sometimes the autumnal golds and reds of the acers. Allison and Joshua were thrilled to find a grove of blue hydrangeas – favourite flowers that also featured prominently in their floral decorations.
Bouquet throwing is most definitely back this year and makes for wonderful pictures, as shown here – Joshua also threw Allison’s garter and both events were hugely enjoyed. I’ve also included an awesome photobomb by the charismatic best man just before the group shot – and of course the proper and perfect version was there as well in Allison and Joshua’s pictures.
They all commented on how beautiful the pictures were and sent compliments to the photographer…
I had a brilliant day, thank you Allison and Joshua to you and your families for making me so welcome and for being so kind – and thank you too for your comments about the pictures which mean the world to me:
“They were wonderful thank you! Everyone loved them. The whole day made everyone feel like they got a taste of the wedding. Some really stunning ones; they all commented on how beautiful the pictures were and sent compliments to the photographer… Thank you for trying so hard, we were both thrilled.”
