18/04/19Ramster December Wedding Photography

Lydia and Dave at St.Mary’s, Chiddingfold, and Ramster on a very wet December day!
Nothing can dampen true happiness – if ever there was a wedding that showed all you have to do is to enjoy yourself whatever the weather chucks at you then this was it.
Getting married at 3pm and so leaving church at nearly 4pm 10 days before Christmas was always going to push the levels of daylight to the limit in any event, but adding torrential rain might seem like mission impossible. I will admit that this was one of those occasions where over 20 years experience of photographing weddings was more than helpful – it was essential.
Ramster is especially atmospheric with a warm and gentle light in winter
But when you look at the pictures from any phase of the day – from Dave and his team ‘getting ready’ in the pub right through to the dancing – there is nothing but the happiest of smiles from absolutely everyone.
Having a venue like Ramster helped beyond measure – the Brick Hall at Ramster is such a bonus on difficult days in summer and winter and the pictures I have included here were taken in natural light. Flash can so easily kill the atmosphere of photographs inside in winter – and Ramster is especially atmospheric with a warm and gentle light in winter that many of my clients have commented on.
Getting each table to represent one the twelve days of Christmas and then sing their way through the song was a stroke of genius – and what comes across so strongly in these pictures is just how many different and wonderful phases there were to this fabulous wedding day !
Thank you to Lydia and Dave for choosing me as their photographer – and for their fabulous comments about the pictures:
“We love them! My parents said they’re the best they’ve ever seen …You were so easy to work with and it was a pleasure having you there!”
