It was wonderful to be back at Pennyhill Park again for Alison and Laurence’s wedding – with the ceremony to be held outside if the weather allowed.
Rain on the way to the venue wasn’t encouraging but full credit to Pennyhill who left the decision as late as possible by which time there wasn’t a drop of rain in sight.

Alison had thought of loads of wonderful details for the day – the sweet trees on each table featured here were the result of many hours of work and looked fabulous.
I resisted all temptation, even the Lindt balls and the flumps… but Alison and Laurence also had an ice cream cart from Cafe Bon Bon who were brilliant. Their ice creams were enjoyed by all the guests many times over and here, at Alison’s prompting, I confess to succumbing. I would unreservedly recommend them to anyone who enjoys ice cream – a great addition to any wedding. It also produced some memorable pictures – as did the full size Jenga!
Alison told me before the wedding she particularly liked pictures where the background was out of focus but the focus of the picture itself was sharp – I hope this selection shows I delivered and in the shots of Alison herself just how beautiful the result can be.
