21/11/17Meriden Wedding Photography

Sarah and Will at Meriden near Coventry.
I first met Will in 2014 at his friends Emma and Liam’s wedding – I’ve just been looking at the blog post from that wedding again, and he’s clearly visible in many of the ceremony pictures! We got on like a house on fire, so I was thrilled when he rang me in Spring 2016 to say he would be getting married to Sarah this July and would I go to the service and reception near Coventry to photograph the wedding.
The result was a fabulous weekend this July – I arrived on the Friday to have a look at the venue and was staggered by the effort Sarah and Will and their families had put in the decoration and flowers. I was very pleased to have the time to capture all the details then rather than on the day.
I looked forward to this day for nearly 18 months and it more than lived up to expectations …
This was a day of many phases, starting at the house, moving on to the church, stopping for a photo opportunity with the Land Rover between the church and reception, arriving at the reception, 6 speeches, a ceilidh and a disco. Will had warned me the Land Rover was a significant part of his life, so I hope I gave it due emphasis in the pictures – I particularly like the pictures in the fading light.
The energy of the ceilidh was amazing and hugely enjoyed by all – note the shot of Will, a distinguished medic, showing the correct recovery position after the exertions of the ceilidh.
I looked forward to this day for nearly 18 months and it more than lived up to expectations – I had a brilliant day and I was very sad when it came to an end.
Thank you to Will and Sarah and to their families for a a really memorable day – where there’s a Will there’s a way.
