People often tell me how lucky I am to spend my life photographing the happiest day of many people’s life – and I totally agree.
Happiness shines out of these pictures and it was just wonderful to be there – Sophie literally radiated joy from the moment she arrived, as the pictures in the car show, and never stopped, as is clearly visible in the dancing photographs.
It was a great day to be a photographer, although the climb onto Wonersh church roof had its moments as did the lean over the edge of the ‘battlements’ with the roof springing gently underneath my feet – but I did get the group shot of everyone from above Sophie and Nic wanted as a result.
I love photographing at this time of year and the evening at Gate Street Barn was magical as the light slowly faded, resulting in some beautifully atmospheric pictures.

I should also mention Sophie’s dress – by Vera Wang it was truly stunning, but I think Sophie was so happy she would have looked fabulous whatever she was wearing.
