27/11/18Gate Street Barn July Wedding Photography

Nic and Dom at Gate Street Barn in July
I have photographed at Gate Street Barn ever since it opened and over the years I have seen lots of changes – I can remember when there was no pheasantry! – but nothing could have prepared me for the amazing changes I saw when I arrived this year.
On the left of the Barn instead of dark wooden doors there’s now a huge glass atrium filling the whole Barn with light. And where once when the weather was against you there was sometimes a dash from the Barn to the Pheasantry there’s now a covered glass walkway. Both these additions at Gate Street Barn are great news for a bride and groom – and for a photographer!
I have chosen a selection of pictures to reflect all the different stages of a wedding at Gate Street Barn…
What’s also great news is that the separate spaces for the bride getting ready and the groom getting ready are so near that as a photographer you can easily move from one to the other without missing a shot. This was above all a hugely enjoyable and informal day, with the ceremony conducted by celebrant Ginny Collins making it even more personal.
I have chosen a selection of pictures to reflect all the different stages of a wedding at Gate Street Barn – and to show what a difference the changes make. Look out for all the different phases of the day – getting ready, waiting for the bride, the ceremony, the reception with fabulous pictures in the grounds, the speeches and reactions to them, and then capturing the warmth of the evening light before some wonderful moments from the dancing. Just let me know if you would like to see the whole set, this really is just a flavour of the day.
Big thanks to Carole and the team at Tandem Catering, for their amazing food as always, and to Gill Pike florist, gillpikeflorist.co.uk, for so many different floral ideas to make the most of the Barn.
