Rachel and Andrew at Fetcham Park in May
In an earlier post I wrote about the sadly devastating damage done to Clandon Park by fire.
Rachel and Andrew were due to have their wedding reception there 10 days after the fire but what could have been a disaster was avoided thanks to the amazing efforts of Andrew’s mother – and of Laura Caudery at Fetcham Park who worked incredibly hard to make sure that the day ran as if it had been planned for months.
Everyone involved worked so hard to give Rachel and Andrew the most fabulous day …
I’d also like to mention Amaury from At Home Catering in Cobham who delivered the most wonderful food at very short notice.
When I looked at the Fetcham website I could see the staircase was special – but as the sun flooded in on the day it was spectacular, so I have included lots of examples of just what a beautiful backdrop it is and how perfectly it complemented Rachel’s dress in the sunlight.
Rachel and Andrew look simply amazing. I should point out that when I met with Rachel and Andrew before the day they made it clear that what mattered to them were pictures of the two of them – and that focus is reflected in my selection.
I am frequently asked about wedding ‘disasters’ – until now the worst thing that happened in 23 years was a bride leaving her bouquet a home where she was getting ready.
Clandon’s sad fate was about as big a disaster as you can have, but what was truly impressive was how everyone involved worked so hard to give Rachel and Andrew the most fabulous day.
