19/05/14Farbridge Wedding – Katie & Chris

Katie and Chris at St.Mary’s, Thakeham, and Farbridge, April 5th 2014
Often when I meet clients to discuss their weddings one or other of them will say “I should tell you I hate being photographed and you probably won’t get a good picture of me all day”.
Chris was one of those clients, so I was particularly pleased to see him looking as happy in the pictures as he was on the day.
And this despite the probation of a power cut in the village where the wedding was to take place. When I arrived to meet Chris in the pub there was no power nowhere nearby – and that was still the case when I arrived back at the church after photographing Katie and her bridesmaids getting ready.
But weddings are nothing without friends – and so I include a picture of two heroes bringing a generator to the church which meant we could at least have music.
The photos are AMAZING! All the Mums and Grandparents are very happy with them
I’d promised the Vicar I wouldn’t use any flash during the ceremony as instructed, so I was also pleased with the pictures taken in a very dark church with absolutely no lighting at all. With all technical difficulties overcome we left for Farbridge where the rest of the day went without a hitch.
And despite all the warnings about Chris and “the face he always pulls in photographs” Katie and Chris radiated happiness throughout the day and the pictures.
Feedback means everything to me so when Katie told me “the photos are AMAZING! All the Mums and Grandparents are very happy with them, and Chris and I are delighted” I was very, very happy – thank you both.
And finally a mention for two very special cars – both the Mercedes in the pictures belong to Katie’s Dad and I hope I’ve done them justice, they were immaculate and flawless though out the day.
