A Wedding by the sea - Holly and Josh in Itchenor and at Chichester Yacht Club
From the moment I met Holly and josh I could tell this was going to be an excitingly different day – it promised so many great photographic opportunities. The plan was to start with Holly getting ready with her ten – yes, ten – bridesmaids and then photograph them as they walked through the pretty village of Itchenor down to the sea, where Holly would go on board a boat to take her to the ceremony at Chichester Yacht Club.
I love the pictures of Holly and her team walking through the village – and as she walks down the jetty with her father to go aboard the boat. Despite the wind Holly looked serene throughout – and in fact it created some magical shots with the veil.
Right by the water’s edge it is a fantastic backdrop for a wedding and reception, even if the skies aren’t 100% sunny…
So far so good – but the next stage of the day involved racing from Itchenor to Chichester Yacht Club to photograph Holly’s arrival, a beautifully dramatic moment as the guests looked on. I have photographed weddings at Chichester Yacht Club before.

I worked hard to lose the sometimes grey sky but the result was worth it – a whole sequence of gorgeous, evocative pictures right by the sea and I hope you enjoy this selection from a truly fabulous day.
