06/11/10Busbridge Wedding Photography

Catriona and Harry, Busbridge, nr.Godalming, Surrey, 18th September 2010.
“And the Bride wore white converse shoes …” , a phrase you won’t often read in wedding magazines, but one that sets the tone for this wedding very well.
Above all this was a day of fun and enjoyment, as the pictures show. The reception was at Catriona’s family home, a short walk from the church, giving a wonderful photographic opportunity along the way. I’ve mentioned the phrase “you can have what you want” in connection with weddings in this blog before, but Harry and Catriona stuck to just that – including the white converses, a marital game of twister, walking home rather than going by car, a help yourself bar instead of waiters, cheeses in place of a wedding cake and last but not least a barrage of balloons to set the scene in the marquee. I recommend the balloons – irresistable by even the most serious of guests, there was a smile on everyone’s face, including mine.
We’re really delighted with the results. They’ve captured the essence of the day, and lots of our friends and family have commented on the fact that they enjoyed having you there.
As for the photographs “we’re really delighted with the results. They’ve captured the essence of the day. We were impressed as well by how well you got on with everyone, and lots of our friends and family have commented on the fact that they enjoyed having you there, rather than feeling intimidated by having someone photographing them”.
Thank you Catriona and Harry, your comments are greatly appreciated – not all wedding photographers are the same.
