Love Conquers All - Holly and Tobias in August
I first heard from Holly and Tobias in August 2018 – they were going to get married on August 22nd 2020 and was I available.
All was going well and the months were ticking by – until March, when we all went into lockdown, with no weddings allowed. In these unsure circumstances most people postponed or rearranged their dates… but not Holly and Tobias. When lockdown ended there was a window when we were allowed weddings with up to 30 guests and in that window fell August 22nd.
Yes, it was a day of many and varied phases, all of which were hugely enjoyable!
With enormous ingenuity, resource and perseverance Holly and Tobias ended up with a day no one present will ever forget – working within the restrictions they had a church service, complete with socially distant guests outside, two garden receptions complying with the regulations, and speeches and cake cutting via Zoom with all the their friends and family watching.
Yes, it was a day of many and varied phases, all of which were hugely enjoyable – I have tried to give a flavour of each and every one. The sense of triumph over adversity gave the day a very special magic that will stay with me forever – the love of these two really did conquer all obstacles in their path.
Huge thanks to Holly and Tobias for letting me capture their day – and special thanks to their families for making me feel so welcome. I’m so looking forward seeing you all again at the party in 2022!
