30/07/14Amberley Castle Wedding – Rachael & Eliot

Rachael and Eliot, Amberley Castle, 27th May 2014
When I met Rachael and Eliot to discuss their wedding Rachael told me she was aiming for a natural look with wild flowers and a retro feel.
This selection hows how well she succeeded – and how well her vision was reflected in the flowers by Matthew at Spriggs Florists in Petworth.
The day involved two ceremonies, a civil ceremony in the Castle, followed by a blessing in the church next to the Castle. As the pictures show both were very, very happy occasions, with the highlight of the church service being Rachael’s mother singing to her!
Amberley Castle is a wonderful backdrop for a wedding …
This wedding set a trend for the return of bouquet throwing – it’s been a fixture of pretty much every wedding I’ve photographed since and will feature in this blog again very soon. Rachael had designed some wonderful details to reflect the Anglo American nature of the day and I’ve included a few in my selection.
Amberley Castle is a wonderful backdrop for a wedding and unbelievably next year will be the twentieth anniversary of my first wedding there! This was a wonderful, beautiful and memorable day – Rachael most definitely achieved her vision.
