21/12/17Amberley Castle November Wedding Photography

Ella and Mark at Amberley Castle in November.
“What time should you get married in November?” is a question I’m often asked. On an overcast day it can be getting dark at 4 o’clock, so do you choose an early time to get some pictures in daylight, or do you go for a later ceremony to have the warmth and atmosphere of pictures indoors?
Ella and Mark chose 3pm and these pictures show the fabulous range they ended up with – some pictures in the winter sunshine, some beautifully atmospheric pictures as the sun went down, and some very romantic shots with just the very limited natural light coming from the Castle lights and flames in the portcullis.
Wow. Just wow. Henry we cannot thank you enough. These pictures are absolutely stunning…
What I like is the sheer variety of possibilities the day had to offer – the changing light marked the different phases, with each having a very distinct feel. But most importantly what did Ella and Mark think ? “Wow. Just wow. Henry we cannot thank you enough. These pictures are absolutely stunning and even better than I could have hope for”, the kind of comment I always want to hear.
Having many years of experience of photographing weddings at Amberley Castle was certainly invaluable in such diverse conditions, but I always try to build on my previous experience at every wedding I photograph, constantly bringing something new to every wedding day.
A very special thank you to Mark and Ella for their kind comments – and to Gill Pike from Gill Pike Florist for her wonderful flowers, and to Russell from Blomster Designs for the flames.
