When you photograph people in colour, you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in Black-and- White, you photograph their souls
Black-and-white photography is a house speciality, and the gallery shows examples of just what it can do.
Again and again clients have told me that their black-and-white photographs are amongst their favourite images of the day – they often describe them as being “timeless” and “full of emotion” as well as “flattering”. Recently a client liked them so much she specifically asked me to capture lots of classic black-and-white images of her and her husband.

Years of experience in the darkroom have helped me produce memorable black-and-white images that are digitally captured – and every one is individually edited for maximum effect. I never ‘batch process’ – either in colour or black-and-white.
Without the distraction of details in colour (all of which can be recorded in colour versions) the eye is lead to faces and expressions – to the real emotion of the day – and this is why they are often such powerful and memorable pictures for my clients.
Just how much you want is very much up to you and very occasionally I meet couples who don’t want any black-and-white pictures – what you have is tailored just to you.
