It has a very special feel as it's a family home as well as an outstanding wedding venue - I've covered weddings here from 40 to 160 guests. It's strengths are the light in the Great Drawing Room, the size of The Long Hall itself and its courtyard garden which is both pretty as a photographic backdrop and practical - being partially paved it means that even in wet weather it's possible to get outside for the best of the light.
If you're really lucky you'll catch the rhododendrons in May, but there's something special here in every season.
Don't overlook the extensive gardens - I've gone on some fabulous walks with brides and grooms through the grounds which have provided memorable photographic opportunities. If you're really lucky you'll catch the rhododendrons in May, but there's something special here in every season - the winter fires in the Long Hall are wonderful.
